If you’ve never had homemade pancakes and waffles you are missing out. Often when we would go to my Grandma Shaun’s house and she would make a big stack of waffles from scratch. Not this recipe is the one my mom makes for Sunday brunch every single week.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/3 c. powdered milk
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 Tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 large egg; separated
- 1 c. water
- 2 Tbsp oil
DIRECTIONS
- Mix dry ingredients together
- Separate the egg
- Mix together water, oil, and egg yolk
- Add water, oil, egg mixture to dry ingredients and mix well
- Beat egg whites
- Gently fold egg whites into batter
- Pour onto hot, greased griddle or waffle iron
- Serve hot with homemade maple syrup, margarine or butter, semi-sweet chocolate chips, Kool Whip, and strawberries.
- Enjoy surrounded by family or friends, preferably on a Sunday afternoon.
TIPS
This recipe will feed 3-4 people. My mom always doubles it when making dinner for my family of 6 adults.
