Today is Colter’s birthday, so I thought I share the recipe for his favorite cake with all of you!

INGREDIENTS
- 1 box Yellow Cake Mix
- 1 pint Half and Half
- 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1 can Evaporated Milk
- Cool Whip topping
- Sliced Strawberries
PREPARATION
- Prepare yellow cake batter according to directions found on box, but replace the water with half and half.
- Bake cake according to box directions in a 9″x13″ pan. There is no need to grease the pan because this cake will be served in the pan that it is baked in.
- Remove cake from oven and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Poke 1/2″ holes through the cake, 1 1/2″ to 2″ apart (roughly 20-30 holes).
- Pour can of sweetened condensed milk, can of evaporated milk, and 1/2 cup of half and half over cake.
- Refrigerate overnight,
- Prior to serving, top chilled cake with Cool Whip and sliced strawberries.
- Served chilled from pan.
This cake is so easy and so delicious, but make sure that you remember to bake it the night before your event (or at least 6-8 hours) so that it has time to chill. You also need to remember that whatever pan you bake the cake in, you will be serving the cake from, so pick a cute one if you’ve got it.
