I thought it would be fun and interesting to look back at my pregnancy journal from my first pregnancy and compare it trimester-by-trimester to my second pregnancy! I didn't expect things to be so different, but there were definitely huge distinctions between the two!

Baby Merrell #2 is due in about six weeks and I optimistically have my bag packed and ready to go,hoping that this baby decides to come early (rather than his/her older brother...who was eight days late). Having done this once before, I packed very differently for this baby in comparison to my first delivery.

The month that Calvin was born, I posted about what was packed in my hospital bag for when the big day finally arrived. Now that the whole ordeal is over and we are happy and healthy at home, I thought I would share with you the things that I needed, the things I could have done without, the things I didn't use at all, and the things that I really missed during labor, delivery, and our postpartum stay at the hospital.

Baby Merrell was due 5 days ago, so I figure it is about time I finally publish this post. My hospital bag has actually been packed and ready to go for a couple of months and living in the back of my car, just in case Baby decided to come early. That is obviously not the case, but I like being prepared anyway.

People like to talk and comment and feel important in other people's lives. It's human nature. But nature is no excuse for insensitivity or rudeness.
